Fan Art Shout Out

Once again, my humblest apologies for not updating my lil' old blog. I've been busy, but in a very, very good way. So good, I have not had a chance to even work on my short films, including "Bully In The Brambles" featuring the Sagoo Twins, and "Hex For Hire" featuring Bluehilda, the wild blue witch. Last month for my birthday, I received two very gracious gifts I wanted to share.

This piece of fan art is by Malcom Thomas. Malcom is a talented artist who hails on the West Coast. Every time I have viewed his work on Deviant Art, he get's better, and better. Next up is a fella who goes by the name of Phil. Phil has been following my work for awhile now, and I couldn't be happier to have such a loyal fan. It touches my heart that my three little rascals have some support, and it gives me even more initiative to finish my films. I do not know when they'll be complete, but so help me, they WILL get done!! Thanks Malcolm and Phil!

Petey Pate

Like all aspiring animators, "Mighty Mouse The New Adventures" had a huge impact on me, particularly the balding, psychopath, Petey Pate. Petey was the first crazy character I ever laid eyes at four years old. I remember watching the episode "Night On Bald Pate" in my parents' bedroom one brisk Saturday Morning. While threatening Pearl Pureheart, the image at 00:06:43 changed my life forever. That was my first time seeing a cartoon character with blood shot eyes and crooked teeth. That was when I decided to draw cartoons especially with blood shot eyes and crooked teeth. Thank you Petey Pate for inspiring, and scary the bejesus out of me.

ADVENTURE TIME!!!!

I am super excited about Adventure Time coming to cartoon Network this spring. Plus there has been a number of REALLY talented artists submitting their take of Pendelton Ward's wild and wonderful characters, so I wanted to be part of the fun!
